With fall in full swing now, it is time for some of our favorite fall activities. Whether you are pumpkin picking or enjoying everything the cooler weather has to offer, fall is of our favorite seasons because of WaterFire event!
The WaterFire event is this Saturday, October 6th. Bonfires and live music performances will begin at 7pm and go till 11pm. The event is located at Brush Creek on Country Club plaza. The WaterFire event is a great community event that is free for everyone.
This is an event that you do not want to miss, “WaterFire is considered one of the most moving and dramatic expressions of public art in the U.S.”(Barnaby Evans, artist). WaterFire is the perfect way to welcome the Fall season and experience a unique, art experience.
The history of WaterFire is incredibly unique as it originally started as an art installation. Over the years, it has morphed and grown into an annual and cherished event. Artists send lightened braziers down the Brush Creek. While spectators can enjoy the sights, there is also a large variety of live entertainment: ranging from local musicians, dancers, and fire performers. WaterFire is every year on the first Saturday of October.
